Zumindest bei LGBoA scheint man auch noch was neues ausuprobieren:

LGB Announces First \"LGB Custom Series\" Model

It\'s bold. It\'s beautiful. And it\'s the first \"LGB Custom Series\" model! The LGB team in America has combined extensive research with expert skill to customize a very small number of LGB\'s acclaimed Genesis diesel locos in authentic New Haven \"McGinnis-inspired\" livery as seen in daily service today on MTA\'s Metro North Railroad.

Fewer than 30 of these handsome models will be built. They will be available in two configurations:
- Standard configuration with popular LGB Genesis features, like twin Bühler motors, all-wheel gear drive and super-bright LEDs
- Deluxe configuration with added LGB Multi-Train System decoder, digital sound and smoke generator

We will offer the LGB Custom Series New Haven Genesis exclusively through LGB Authorized Train Stop retailers. (To find one near you, click on the \"Retailer Locator\" button above.) However, with such a small quantity, they will not last long. Here\'s the ordering information:
- Standard - Item Number 9021490.001 - MSRP $929.99
- Deluxe - Item Number 9021492.001 - MSRP $1,249.99

Delivery is expected by March 2007. Triggered sound functions (bell, horn, announcements) with MTS operation only. Also, the paint and markings on this unique, customized model are not UV-, weather-, or scratch-proof. Handle the model with care and do not expose it to moisture, extreme weather or temperature conditions, or prolonged periods of sunlight.

Also weder wetterfest noch \"spielfähig\", dafür aber exklusiver.

Mal gespannt, ob man solche Miniserien auch in Deutschland plant.
