Das wird sicher noch eine interessante Auseinandersetzung werden. Inwieweit Märklin mit LGBoA zusammenarbeiten will, wird sich zeigen. Ist aber für Europa wohl ohne Belang.
In der LGB Group findet sich folgendes Statement von David Buffington:
Hello all!
LGBoA will sometime later distribute an official statement on the
decision of the creditor\'s committee in Nürnberg, but I would also
like to make a personal statement to you...
First, I\'m sorry. A lot of you contributed your time, your prayers and
your sincere friendship to our effort, and I failed to deliver. For
that, I am truly and deeply sorry.
Still, we fought one heck of a fight, and for that, I must now thank
Tony Castellano and his team at LGBoA and Stefan Jakob and his team in
Germany. According to the report we received from the meeting, 56 of
60 persons voting supported our bid. Unfortunately, three of the four
supporting the Märklin bid were banks, and the actual votes were
proportional to the amount each creditor was owed.
So we congratulate Märklin, who also fought one heck of a fight. And
as dramatic as all of this has been, we will all go on, and we will go
on with the knowledge, the very comforting knowledge, that we have
found good friends who will fight with us.
